2s look to the future - Schofield cleans up

A fantastic weekend for the dons was rounded off by 2 brilliant performances by our highly promising colts attack in the second team on Saturday.

Experienced campaigner Harvey Heather (Under 13) in his 4th competitive match picked up 2-3 in only 4 deliveries to wrap up the innings in his but stealing the headlines was debutante Oliver Schofield who took 3-13 off 5 excellent overs with all three dismissals being bowled.

Its one thing to give young players a game but for them to play such a key role in winning a game bodes well for the future and we cannot play down the role captain Richard Kitt is playing by looking after the clubs talented youths.

With the 1st also wrapping up a much needed win & the 2s currently in the hunt for promotion things are looking very rosy at the moment for Dons!
