Important win moves 3rd XI up the league.

With the 1sts winning on Saturday and the colts Sunday morning it fell to the thirds to complete the club clean sweep. WBCC won the toss and inserted Peper harrow with conditions overhead overcast, chances occurred almost immediately with a close run out opportunity in the first over. Peper harrow knuckled down and started building a solid opening partnership. Jon Hawke fresh into the attack made the vital breakthrough before Christo (3-47) and Mitch (2-39) came on and found assistance on a turning pitch with Tim Golding in only his second game keeping providing two stumpings.

Chasing 215 things started badly for WBCC with a wicket first ball of the innings and then 11-2, however Christo (52) and then Tim (102*) fought back before some late power hitting by Dan Gilbert (39*) saw them through to the target with six overs left.

A good all round performance sees the 3rds heading into next weekend against high flying Holmbury full of confidence and looking to repeat last year’s victory over the opposition.
